With the unilateral withdrawal of AMG, it seems that the ongoing horsepower war has come to an end in Germany, as the coming Mercedes E63 saloon is not going to carry the ceaseless game of one-upmanship that caused problems for the fastest and biggest German saloons for quite some time. The proof is that you will find it only with 518hp and the torque of 464lb. Though it’s a real huge grunt, one can find more than 54bhp in the Audi RS6.

It was in May last year when the car was launched even knowing that anything below 572bhp wouldn’t be accepted. It seems that AMG accepted that limits knowing the fact that the increase in power wouldn’t offer the same kind of boost in its drivability.

Now one step ahead and this time with a new E63 AMG whose direction can be told just from its chassis and this is the thing which can be called the most surprising thing in it. You definitely let a long advance way to know in the E63 no matter whether you are over or under steer. No doubt, you get the right signal from the seat with enough power that can take you even into the jail.

You will find it quite easy to control and drive. While driving you will find it impressive and a car that can really give you all the confidence of the world and it can be called a vehicle with an array of pleasures in almost its every inner and outer aspect.

You wouldn’t find it quite similar to the M5, and if you really want to know the truth about it, it is, indeed, a better option than the M5, as the harder you drive it, the more you are rewarded. But steering in this E63 is somewhat lesser than what can be noticed in the M5. The chassis is another thing that doesn’t seem to give the same levels of feedback. You cannot call it a real sporty and definitely it has paucity of edge.

You will find it quite nice for some kind of pottering journey with its higher level of comfort and limited track-only time, although, it has low profile tires with 19” optional wheels and changed front air suspension. Similarly, the carbon ceramic brakes are another option that can really offer great help.  They can offer great help to improve the quality of the ride, but you need to spend nearly $8000 to get enhanced quality of ride.

There are many who may be thinking that an E-Class with track focus would be an odd choice, they need to reckon it a mini-limo especially for the Americans. Yanks may find it something more than just a sports saloon. So, different people would find different things in it at different times.

When it comes to the powerhouse of the E63, it is faster than almost every available car in the market, as the available 6.2-litre V8 makes 0-62 sprint possible in just 4.5 seconds that is almost 0.2 seconds higher than what can be seen in the M5. When the gear is changed, you have to shut down the engine because of excessive torque on top. However, this torque can be reduced by shutting off the ignition to the cylinders.

The new E63 is quite well aware of its place among its competitors, and seems to sit towards the M5 rather than the XFR cruiser, but one thing is certain that you will find it quite comfortable for everyday use and even better than the BMW.
