Previously, there was only an initial image was released by Chevrolet, and now following this, the company shown off six new pics of the coming 2010 Corvette Grand Sport. It was in 1996 when the package of the Grand Sport was last manufactured. In this package, the LS3-based powertrain was impressively combined with wide-body styling and exceptional powertrain that was also based in the LS3. Now the coming model is going to replace the Z51 package that was introduced in previous year.
The 2010 Corvette Grand Sport to be offered in Convertible as well as coupe body styling that will feature a six-speed automatic or six speed manual transmission. The LS3-based powertrain is capable to boost 430hp with 424 lb/ft torque along with usual exhaust system. There is also an optional exhaust system of two modes that can elevate 436hp and 428 pound-feet of torque.
If compared to the model Z51 which it’s going to replace, the Grand Sport seems to offer a lot better handling along with wider tires, stabilizer bar, revised shock and nice particular gearing. With all these equipment it gets 1.0g capability along with 0.2sec boost in zero to 60mph acceleration with usual LS-3 equipped models.
18-19” wheels, functional brake ducts, a splitter and spoiler quite similar to one that you have seen in the Z06, size brakes, 14” front rotors and 13.4-inch rear rotors are some other prominent changes that have been introduced in it.
The Grand Sport will be available with all the exterior colors of the Corvette, and in the heritage package there is the addition of hash marks front fender that are being offered in four colors. If you are willing to get one of them, you have the choices to order in six packages that also include trim package.
